Hello , my name is Thanos Adamopoulos .
I am 25 years old and I’m from Greece .
I study Maritime at the university of Piraeus but for now I do modeling worldwide.
My hobbies are basketball, football and boxing. I do also snowboarding which is one of my favourite things. Also I listen to music everyday whenever I am and I can’t without music .
When did you start modelling?
I started when I was 20 years old .
How did you get scouted?
I was scouted first at 16 in a nightclub but my parents didn’t let me do it . So when I was 20 I got scouted whilst working by a hairstylist who told me I had to do it. And then everything started.
Who are the models you aspire(d) to?
I really like Evan Mock these days cause I can see myself in him. He is a very cool guy and now he gets the biggest opportunities to work for the biggest brands in the world.
What would be your dream modelling job?
My dream job is to work for Christian Dior.
In an industry that is based on appearances, how do you handle negative comments and rejection?
It’s really hard cause everyone sees the jobs and the lifestyle and the fact that you travel allover the world, but behind this, there is everyday rejections from castings and often negative feedback. It’s really hard to deal with it, especially when you are away from home. But from negative comments you become stronger and better and that is what makes you more focused and driven.
From your perspective, how do you think the fashion industry can improve?
I think nowadays our industry has improved when it comes to diversity and plus size models. Finally the clients/brands don’t only use one type.
The thing that I believe could improve, is payments. We usually get paid 3 to 6 months after we have done the job. And it’s hard to plan your life when payments are not more immediate.
What’s your favourite project/shoot you’ve done so far?
My favourite project was the GSTAR X ZALANDO campaign in Prague, Czech Republic. It was such a big production I felt I was in Hollywood . And I’m very proud of it .
Tell us something we wouldn’t know by looking at your portfolio?
I have my scars from the sun that you can’t see in most of my pictures.
What’s your favourite feature?
I think I am a very humble guy and also very patient with everything.
What’s you motto in life.
“Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end."
